"WildByron is the culmination of four years work and I want to thank all those who participated. This area is renowned for it's rich cultural, music and artistic output alongside the extraordinary beauty of the coast and hinterland. The book has been an absolute joy to work on and it's my hope that the publication goes someway to capturing and reflecting some of the magical aspects of Australia's rainbow region."

What makes this Byron place so special? There are hundreds of other beautiful Australian coastal towns but there is a unique vibe to Byron Bay. It’s not just the geography, the climate or even the people who it must be said, do have a history of independent thought.

I didn't use this picture in the book and it wasn't until later that Danielle Gigante Resonate Massage pointed out how much like a Whales Tail Cape Byron is in this photograph.....Ironic really that it was this peninsula that was used to spot whales for the purpose of murdering them for many years.
Lennox Heads the town with a great Lake and a great break…..my son Linc on his “fish” at one of the world’s great surf breaks.
Not only a sweet little surf town with a unique pub and friendly people Lennox is close by serene Lake Ainsworth and a scene that resonates straight out of our antipodean memories….40 degree summer day a clear, cool lake to swing into, shelter from a savage sun and a gently cooling breeze to ease us through an Arcadian afternoon.
Tallows beach, a long wide strip of sand that runs south from Cape Byron to Broken Head. A place of refuge for wildlife and man.
The faces of people in Byron Bay are mostly demonstrably content and happy. It shouldn't be a surprise they all live in one of the most beautiful parts of the world.
